§  Functioned as Children’s Pastor in a Central Latin American District Church.  Ministry opportunities included the expansion of an existing Bus Ministry, and administrative leadership of the Sunday School, Royal Rangers (Boys midweek program), and Missionettes (Girls midweek program). Ran visitation for shut-ins and Hospital visitation. Also taught science lab for students who were collectively home schooled at the church.  Worked under leadership of Pastor Danny Gutierrez, Senior Pastor (deceased).

§  Functioned as Children’s Pastor in suburban setting at an independent family centered church, pioneer work.  Also developed leadership skills in music, computer graphic skills and layout, worker recruitment, family visitation, and delegation.  Trained replacement Children’s Pastor from within church body.  Worked under leadership of Pastor Paul Crites, Senior Pastor - church disbanded in 1995.

§  Functioned as Associate Pastor and Children’s Pastor, Head of Security, web page designer, and Bus Ministry Head.  Also filled positions of Sunday School Director, Christian Education Director, and nursery director.  Was also responsible for audio and visual maintenance and upgrades, as well as computer consultant and technician.  Developed mime and clown teams, highly effective multi-bus ministry, and taught children ages 4-12.  Developed effective young teen worker program, utilizing gifts, zeal, energy, desire, and time 12-17 year old young men and women possess to be effective in ministry.  Worked under leadership of Pastor Jim Bunch from 1-1-95, to 10-4-98, and then under Pastor Mac Preble until 3-17-02.

§  Functioned as Children’s Pastor, overseeing all aspects of children’s programs, such as Children’s Church, Royal Rangers, Missionettes, and Junior Bible Quiz. Part of Home Visit and Hospital Visitation teams. Conducted large outreaches, such as Easter Egg Hunt, VBS, Harvest Festival, and 4th of July Extravaganza.  Developed effective young teen worker program, utilizing gifts, zeal, energy, desire, and time 11-17 year old young men and women possess to be effective in ministry.  Worked under leadership of Pastor John Loper, (retired).

§  Functioned as Children’s Pastor, overseeing all aspects of children’s programs, such as Children’s Church, Royal Rangers, and Missionettes.  Did Hospital Visitation, Home Care, Adopt-A-Block. Working under leadership of Pastor Pete Inman. 

 

2011-2014   Highest Praise Family Church, Tarpon Springs, FL

§  Functioned as Children’s Pastor, overseeing Children’s Church, midweek boys and girls clubs, and a bus ministry with three busses. The busses transported about 140 children, teens, and parents each Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. Hosted and taught a “Bible Base Parenting” home fellowship meeting weekly as an outreach to the parents of the children riding the bus, as well as supporting the parents of families within the church. Held weekly home visitation for every family who rode the bus. As a staff pastor, did hospital visits, ministered to homebound members, and counseling.

 

2015 -Present   First Protestant Church, New Braunfels, Texas

§  Functioning as Children’s Pastor, overseeing Children’s Church, Children’s Sunday School, nursery, and the chapel services for the church day care. Developed, created, and teach the midweek children’s service. Working with the youth pastor to create a unified outreach for children and youth, utilizing talents and zeal of teen and preteen workers.

Biography

 

Darin Roberts was born April 24, 1966, has a wife, Angela, married June 23, 1993, and two children; Christiana Teigh Roberts, born June 23, 1998, and Samuel Medd Roberts, born October 24, 2001.  Darin received his ministry training, starting when he was fifteen years old, from Tim Maxwell.  Rev. Maxwell had been a ministry team member under Bill Wilson, of Metro Ministries, in Iowa.  Darin started as a Bus Pastor, starting with fourteen children on a route, and by the second year was consistently having eighty boys and girls on his bus each week.  Rev. Maxwell also trained Darin in all skills necessary for Children’s Ministry within the church, as well as had Darin accompany him at Kids Crusades and church camps as his assistant.  Darin was then hired to be a Children’s Pastor across town at Northside Assembly of God.  After almost three years there, God called Darin to go to college, where he studied Children’s Ministry, as well as met his wife.  Darin has traveled as a children’s evangelist whenever the opportunity has arisen, and has worked as a full time Children’s Pastor at churches of 100 people as well as churches with over 800 in attendance.  Darin received his Certified Ministers Credentials in 1990, with the Central Latin American District of the Assemblies of God (Springfield, MO), and his License to Preach from the Peninsular Florida District of the Assemblies of God (Springfield, MO) in 1995.  In 2003, Darin was ordained by the Assemblies of God International Fellowship (San Diego, CA).
